Sagmeister site

So with Sagmeister coming to charlotte to talk, and my recent attempts at Dreamweaver, I decided to check out Sagmeisters webpage.  Talk about a seizure inducing site.  The lines moving across the screen kills my eyes.  However once you get past the homepage the rest of the site is very well thought out, I love how every page is different yet they all share a common theme.  I also like how we go from chaos on the first page to a calm peaceful use of negative space.  No surprise considering who made the site.

So I read alot of webcomics.  One of which is written by my friend Tyson Hesse.  www.boxer-hockey.com.   Looking around the site I began to notice how well it was designed.  the color scheme works well, and the overall layout is great.  between the muted color tones, to the tan background and the simple use of text it all comes together nicely and makes the site look like its been put together by  a professional.  Not a kid thats going to school for animation.

Lets blog about the blogging website.  If I understand my CSS correctly, which im not sure I do, it would appear that the main page is a simple layout using divs and centering options.  I dont really see any roll over buttons just regular text links.  It uses a simple color scheme of blues, tans and whites.  A color scheme Im noticing is more and more popular.  I, myself like the black themed sites.  not really any spry menus used in this either.  I like the spry menus cause it looks complicated but it isnt.  I need to get over that.  also setting up the links for this page must have been atrocious.  everything feels interconnected, which is what you are going for with a site like this.
